But two years ago, God touched my life in a deep and profound way. I had always been a Christian, but I hadn't always followed the Christian lifestyle. In the summer of 2005, I asked God to tell me His plan for me, and He answered loud and clear! Since that day, I have dedicated it all to God - my voice, my talent, my life... everything. God has blessed me and taken me down paths I never could have imagined on my own!

ALLISON LYNN- ALIEN OF EXTRAORDINARY ABILITY!
Allison has just been awarded an O1 Visa to work in the United States!
Last winter, Allison and brand-new-husband, Gerald Flemming, decided they wanted to move to Nashville to pursue their dreams in music. But, as any Canadian knows, you can't work in the States without a Visa. Thus began a 10-month process...
Most Visas will allow you to work one job with one employer. But, due to the freelance work of a gospel singer, Allison wanted a different option. The O1 Visa, also called the "Alien of Extraordinary Ability" Visa, allows a person to work freelance in their field of expertise. This is a difficult Visa to earn as Allison needed to prove that she is truly outstanding and unique in the field of Gospel Music.
How exactly do you do that? First, Allison collected over 20 letters of reference from people across Canada and the United States who could testify to Allison's unique talent. Next, she organized records of all her major performances over the last 10 years, including posters, fliers, and newspaper articles. Finally, she needed copies of her B.A. from U.of T, her awards in music (including the Brock Speer Scholarship Award), her resume, her discography, and a tonne of paperwork. When finished, her application package was almost 2 inches thick!
The application was delivered to the proper government offices just before Christmas, and the New Year brought good news: The Visa was approved! Allison's lawyer, Erica L. James, said she's never seen an O1 Visa approved so quickly.
This Visa will allow Allison to live and work in the "performance and creation" of Gospel Music in the United States for a full 3 years. During this time, she will also be able to travel back to Canada for visits, as well as for performances.
Allison is truly grateful for this opportunity, and is very excited about entering the professional world of Gospel Music in the States.
